Refretting

Refretting is the American term for the partial or total substitution of the frets.

It is necessary when the frets start showing more or less evident depressions, due to the rubbing of the chords when they are "pressed" against each other. These furrows only show up on the most used part of the fretboard giving the instrument's set-up notable problems (buzzing, bad intonation, etc.).

Thanks to the use of high quality frets (18% extremely hard nickel-silver) and a technique that "hugs" the fret on the curve of the fretboard, as well as the fact that we don't use hammers or glue and without pre-set radius press that deform the frets, we can refret any instrument, electric and acoustic, with precision and superb quality.
